I'm done with this phone, the text bug and my phone dials out but i can't hear people half the time have become too annoying to deal with.

I don't want to sound like a hater, but this might be the worst phone i've owned in the past 5 years. SO many problems

here we are 5+ months after I stoped using the keypad on this phone and still no Text sending bug in fact I dont even reboot my phone anymore, It does still seem to randomly turn off tho

Maybe that is why I never had a text bug issue happen. I dont use the physical keyboard for texting.

you have never had any problems with the texting??? I use to use the slide out keyboard. but then my flex cable broke. so i replaced that and began using the touch screen keyboard. and i still had the same problem. about every 80 messages received i could not send any more and would have to restart my phone. or sometimes the phone would get all lagy and restart itslef. that would also fix the problem.

I used the phone heavily for a year and NEVER had the text bug. I have been using a different phone for most of the last year. I only use it for testing apps and games. The only issue I ever had with the phone is here recently the touchscreen quit working. But that was an easy fix.

I think it a combination of bunch things that cause this. I use to use Physical keyboard all the time and before I got/sent 50 text I would lock up refuse to send anything till it was rebooted. Now I just use virtual keyboard and I been going 8+ months without a single txt bug, And one time it did happen all i did was hit resend and it worked. I only reboot my phone when the menus get extremely slow and laggy now.

Granted before I started to do this I tried Unlocking the phone,Rooting, Installing and uninstall home brewed apps, and 2 Different master code setting changes listed in this topic, along with 2 master resets.

My contract is almost up on this phone so im gonna change it to android phone in the coming months.

Didnt realize that this was a bug....but now that I read these posts I have the same issue...I just reboot my phone and it works fine....very frustrating tho when the person on the other end is anxiously waiting a reply...lol...My phone is unlocked and using Tmobile...but not for much longer will be going to the samsung galaxy 4g for tmobile...got tired of ATT not having a no contract plan with web...but now they are going to be the same company so i guess I should have waited...lol...

Yeah, mine started doing this not too long ago. It's been a good phone but when I have to start using work-arounds just to text my wife about the groceries or something then it's no longer useful. I'll be replacing it when I figure out what I want.

I called AT&T and basically the representative of the replacement department said that this is a known issue and that AT&T is working with Samsung to fix the issue. Since this problems been known for a while now, I doubt anything will change. I'm pissed off I bought this phone :\

How did you fix that?

Mine keeps doing that, and I have to repeatedly restart before it starts working again.

I never had the text bug.  Try using the virtual keyboard instead of the physical keyboard for sms.

I NEVER use the physical keyboard and I have the text bug.  On the contrary, my mother uses the physical keyboard all the time and doesn't seem to have the text bug.
