Hello all, we have had 2 phones of multi brands since Suncom the wife's phone is the only ones that have this bug we have had Nokia,Motorola & Samsung units her phones started the bug on the Motorola with Cingular then on Nokia 6555 continued through 2 eternity phones and  1 Impression 2nd Impression was delivered 2/11/10 so far so good. All minor glitches have been cured by once a day restart. Knock on wood maybe this phone will make it. Personally I don't believe it's a phone problem I think the network is over loaded & has a bad case of (need an infrastructure upgrade) flue. Later---

we have 2 impressionsone is mine and the other is my girlfriends,...she has to reboot her phone atleast once a day,...ive never had to reboot mine at all,...ours were baught at the same time...hmm...

im just glad luck was on my side when ine was assigned to me...lol

Goat both our phones have same address as you so I don't know. The wife ain't throwed hers at me yelling fix it so must be still working ok. Maybe AT&T goofed & gave her a good unit. As to the flue, its caused by a bug right? btw we are on 3G+. I didn't find any thing in the menus or internals on a way to shift to gms. Later---

I can chime in with my experience real quick.

My lady friend has an Impression and it suffers from the text bug as well. I can state that she lives in a GSM only area, still has the problem, when in a 3g area, still has the problem, it's pretty much everywhere we go.

She also has two other phones, some samsung flip phone, and a Blackjack I, neither of those phones have a problem with sending SMS when her SIM is in it.

I also have or have had a Motorola q9h, iphone 3gs, Nokia e71, Nokia n79, SE w580i, SE w760a, BJII, HTC TILT, HTC 8525, Moto v3xx, Nokia 6030, Nokia e62, and some others. The only phone that has exhibited this problem with sending text messages, is the Samsung Impression. So Samsung needs to figure out what the problem is, because it's damn annoying.

Sorry if mentioned. I notice when the glitch occurs regarding the texts, I tend to receive a text with the loudest sound volume even though I had it set at 1. Pushing buttons doesn't silence it neither. If I try to send a text immediately afterward, it will not go though thus forcing me to restart the phone. Also this occurred when I couldn't copy a contact from my sim to the phone.

If all of this is really caused by the iPhone straining AT&T's network, then I wouldn't mind ATT losing the exclusivity. Tongue

It would be interesting to see if anyone has the phone on a different network and whether or not it has the bug.

And just as an update, ever since I did the GSM thing, I've been bug free...

Life was good until the night before my 30 day return window. Out of the blue, the phone will not send text messages through the physical keyboard. Some indicated the problem was with the soft/virtual keyboard and the t9 action, but I don't use it and I checked just in case. Even taking out the battery and sim for some time, I can't get it to send at all. It simply says service unavailable. For a time, I couldn't even make call now that is sporadically working, even though sometimes it indicates emergency calls only.

It could be the AT&T service, but I am in my house where I have sent many texts before. i cleaned out all the old messages to no avail. I am desperate. Contacted Wirefly, they assure me they'll send a new replacement phone, but there is no exchange window... you get what u get.

Any suggestions?

I would say call someone in your area that has AT&T and see if they are having the same problems. Maybe its just a network issue in your area.

*Sigh* Almost two months after fixing the issue, it's come back to me. The bug came back two nights ago, and since then I've had to restart my phone twice. It seems like it shows no mercy. Sad
