well thats disappointing. it could have (though i dont see how) something to do with the master reset i done before the drm reset. i havent heard about my friends having problems... yet, but i havent had it either since the other day and im not power cycling it at night either.

welll now it would seem my impression has started shutting off for no reason now.... and what exactly does the DRM master reset do? Is like to wipe all my setting/files on the phone or something?

It doesnt wipe any of the settings. DRM stands for digital rights management. Im not 100% what its doing on our phones but I dont see how it could be related to your problem. I wouldn't have posted if i had any problems myself but I told two of my friends that also have this phone and they haven't had problems at all. Including the text bug. My friends didn't do full resets on their devices like i did either. But if it comes down to it you may want to backup your data a try that.

 well i do have the text bug it was ok for while but it seem to be starting to do it alot more frequent lately. And I  have another  8 month before i  due for upgrade and, I don't  really wanna  wind up pay for  new phone full price.  specially seeing i want android based phone

About the only thing i know to try is backup your data and do a full master reset. then use your own discretion for the DRM master reset. like i said my friends didnt do the full master reset but i did and ive been bug free ever since ive done it. cause the first time it happens again im doing the drm master reset again and if it hits after that im switching to another one of my phones but so far its been flawless.

Its pushing 6 days and still hasn't happened yet. Haven't heard from my friends and I told them the next day after I had done it since it would have normally already happened by then. Even if it happened now and only done it every 6 days it would be nothing compared to what I was going through.

Have you ever done a hard reset before with the code *2767*3855# ? thats the only other thing i done, but like I've said before, my friends didn't.

NOTE: THIS WILL RESET ALL DATA SO BE SURE TO BACKUP ALL OF YOUR CONTACTS AND FILES AND TYPE IN THE CODE WITHOUT YOUR SIM OR SD CARD IN THE PHONE.

Not even 24 hours after I did the master reset and the DRM reset the phone  got hit with the text bug. I guess during the week Im gona call at&t up and see if i can get them to let me change my phone now instead of wait to my upgrade is due, cause this is ridiculous this happening like every 24-48 hours, with the added fun that the phone randomly shuts off  too.

Well, after 10 days I got bit in the jerk by the bug. I done the power cycle and now I'm going to see if it'll go another 10 days before hitting again. I'll post back whenever it hits again. Sorry it didn't go longer then a day or 2 for you.
