Occasionally, after sending maybe 300 messages or so, it does not send it anymore.  Instead, it gets stuck on the sending part and ends up as "message failed".  I usually turn off the phone and turn it on again to "reset" it, I guess, and then messaging works again.  Has anyone run into this problem? Or is it just me?  If so, please help.

Well I take it since you sent 300 messages you probably received 300 messages. Might have something to do with your message capacity is full and time to clean out.

i have the same problem but i never save my messages so i never have neaer that many in my inbox or my sent box

ya my g/f and i are havin the same problem. i usually have to restart my phone every other day. i send/receive maybe 30 texts a day. my inbox/sent box has maybe 50 texts in each and i have the same problem. it's kind of annoyin especially when it won't send when you are exchangin messages w/ someone. then you have to restart, then wait for it to initialize.

My suggestion to all those having messaging problems is to call ATT tech support. They are the only ones that are going to resolve your issue. It could be a bad phone, something to do with your connection with ATT, or possibly a bug. But since most people do not have this issue it must be something else other than a bug. Wait to long to complain to them and you will end up with a refurb. Tell them while you are within 30 days so you can get a new phone.

And according to ATT you are supposed to restart your phone everyday. Just letting you know.

ive read about this on other help forums forthe impression apparently from what i can remember at the moment its one of the downsides of the impression i beleive its a bug or soemthing

Both Impressions I have had have done it, so I'm just going to say it's a bug. Happens to me atleast once every hour or two.

I believe ur messages might be too large...meaning the phone can support up to 500 messages or a cetain limit in KBs, and i believe u are supassing the KB limit on ur phone...And yes u should reset ur phone atleast every other day, i do it everyday cuz i use my phone till the battery dies everytime...At the very least if my phone gets any unsightly scratches on it, i can send it back by using this as an excuse...heck i might even get one with the software version Goat and Kitty have GRRRRRRRRRRRRR no im not jealous or anything  Angry lol.

this is definitely not the case, the size of txt doesn't have anything to do with it. Whenever this happens (as it does very frequently with me since i txt like a beast) exit and try to send texts to other ppl. It still wont let you. After you get the send error you cannot send anything to anyone. I know this is an old post but this is just killin me..

Your phone can only hold so many messages. That includes incoming and sent. Lets see if we can diagnose this problem or if it is that the messaging memory is full. The next time this happens to you please go menu/settings/memory management/used space/messaging In the top right corner select the drop down arrow and select text message. See if you are at your limit. You are allowed a total of 500 messages stored on your phone.  And that includes inbox, sent, outbox, and drafts together.

thats the first thing i checked, last time that it happened i restarted my phone and checked the memory. I couldn't have more than 200 total at the time.

I definitely know what you're going through, this bug KILLS me. And it doesn't have to do with the size of the message or how many texts are on your phone, the bug just happens randomly. I know this is a bug, just not a well known one. I do know though that whenever this happens to me and I can't send text messages, if the "Low Battery" message pops up, my phone locks up and I literally have to take out the battery and put it back in for it to start again.

I called ATT, but that was as good as eating dirt. I don't think many people encounter this bug, so I don't think Samsung is doing anything about it.
