Do not ever open the Where app!

It does not give you a trial run, does not say its going to start to charge you, it just STARTS charging to AS SOON as you OPEN IT!

Hrm, you need to read the screens and not just press buttons.

The first screen that come sup is a Cancel/OK that tells you all about how you'll be charged after the first 7 days.  If you hit cancel at that point, you do NOT get charged.  I checked my acount.

And then if you do go ahead and try it, you get go to you account (even over MediaNet as that aforementioned screen describes) and cancel the service before the 7 day trial period is over.

Out of curiosity, does pressing the end-call button count as canceling?
LOL, I couldn't figure out how to press cancel so I just did that (I tried pressing via touch, but nothing happened =P )

It is an exit button. Not sure what you are talking about dealing with cancel. If you started the where app it wont cancel your subscription if thats what you mean.

Well, I tried to press cancel (e.g. the cancel/okay buttons that pop up first when clicking the by clicking on the touchscreen and nothing happened. I assume the app doesn't work with touch or I pressed it inaccurately. So the next thing I did was press hang-up lol.  Tongue

I hit the same thing and hit cancel . I checked with AT & T several times to make sure I was not being charged and it never showed up on my account so I take it I am not being charged .

The instructions from the link above is how I checked to make sure I was not being charged . It seems everyone wants to play with my phone . I have to make sure they didn't activate any apps . Last time I checked my "purchases" , yesterday morning , it stated there is no "information available" , so I take it there is no unwanted purchases or downloads .
