The beauty of craigslist is that you can actually come over and check the physical product for defects, given that the owner lets[and if he doesn't, the product is probably messed up anyway].

true. but i have had some bad experiences with Craigslist. I once got an ipod touch from craigslist. i looked at it and all amd thought it was ok. then when i got home, i found out that i couldnt use wifi on it. soo i was screwed over.

even if i do look at the phone, i wont thats it defective unless i use it every day for like a few days. and if i do look at the phone, i dont know what to look for to see if there are defects on it. i never had an impression before.

Yeah, exactly. Go over and put your sim in the phone and check it out. Its similiar to the eternity so you should know how to work it.  We shouldnt even be having this converstaion. If,If,If. If you want a used phone go look and trade. If you want a new phone like i said before save up and buy one.

Its just like the eternity so you should know what to look for. Put your sim in it and give it a test run.

About the restarting for text messaging......where did you hear that? Never had to do it and never heard anyone else doing it.
