I know that Samsung has terrible customer service and usually leaves their products after they are released into the market.  Will Samsung ever release an update for the Impression?  Please give me your thoughts! Thanks!  Smiley

Jeff this is one subject that I would really not like to see started. You know they are bad about updates. No one here is qualified to give advice on an update. And the phone does not need an update. Newer phones have been released with newer firmware versions fixxing the only real bug which was the T9 bug. This thread doesnt need to be another I hate my phone and i wished it did this or did this that way.

samsung actually isn't THAT bad. I bought a samsung P2 mp3 player and there must have been at least 4 or 5 software updates and a couple firmware updates. I've had it for about 2 or 3 years.

I did not mean to offend anyone in here.  If you take my comment and make it seem like I am a huge complainer that is false.  I am just wondering if there was going to be an update, and that is all.  But thanks for the replies  Smiley

jeff, no one said that you are a big complainer. That is how this thread will end up. I am familiar with various similiar samsung phones and the updates never came. At this point the phone has no bugs. The T9 was the only bug. If there are no bugs there will be no update. If someone has a text not sending problem then it has to do with your connection and probably not the phone itself. They should contact ATT.

Samsung just doesn't update anything but their Winmo phones, and even those don't get updated very often.

And in case you don't know, the Impression is not a Winmo (Windows Mobile) phone. It runs Java, so no, there will not be any firmware/OS updates for the Impression. Just be glad it's less buggy than the Eternity and enjoy it.
