my touchscreen was acting up here in the past week. i had to press firmly on the screen to get it working or lock/unlock a few times. then after working for a short time, the calibration would be off.(having to press a little below the icon to select it) so i looked up how to disassemble it and checked everything and i believe the flex cable was loose. iirc, it was loose on the right hand end of the connector. its all back together and working properly right now. i seen you can replace the digitizer and that usually fixes the touchscreen problems. i'll wait and see how it acts, then go from there. *whew*  Cheesy

I would back up your contacts and any other info just incase because a number of members have lost that stuff because the touch screen calibration was so off they could no longer hit the correct buttons to do so. Just a precautionary measure I would take to be safe.

had the touchscreen issue return. took it apart, and put it back together again. it still was acting up til i pressed on the screen a few times. recalibrated, and all is well, but i think its time for a new digitizer.

well, got the digitizer and flex cable installed. the screen seems more responsive than the old digitizer. not too sure which one of the parts were bad. seems like things are back in buisness. so i need to snag an usb cord and get to goatbreaking. first thing is gb'ing this opera!
