Seems like I read somewhere that Apple had a patent on the "slide to unlock" function.  I think they have a lawsuit against somebody about it.  I think that's probably why you don't see it on anything but the iphone (for the most part).

Don't think that is so, we(myself and the gang at LG-VU.com) had our VUs hacked to look and act just like a iPhone(also HTC Hero, BB Storm and a few others), even had the slide to unlock on the screen.  I'm hoping we can do things like that with "our" Impressions..
I am as of this morning a proud owner of a Samsung Impression Smiley

I was saying that other phones don't come "stock" with that feature.  Some hacking would be necessary.

I would love to have the slide to unlock function. I have only had this phone for a month or two. I only really have one gripe. When somebody calls me, my phone is normally in my shirt pocket, or pants pocket. I reach in...bam! something bumps the red button and ignores the call. So I miss the call, and the person goes to my voicemail. VERY annoying.  Angry

The only time this doesn't happen is when it has bluetooth connected, because I dont touch the phone to pickup the call.

Does changing how you answer the call help? Maybe 'slide open' would work better for you?

Interesting thought, that might work. I'll give it a try.

*nope. doesn't change anything. I changed the phone callls option to "slide open" but it still cuts the call off if the end button is touched. Funny how its not really a true locked phone becuase the end button still screws things up.
