The screen then appeared. I couldn't do anything with my phone after that. I removed the battery and waited a few minutes then plugged it back in and it started up. I almost thought it bricked my phone but thankfully it didn't. I am not sure if I hit my volume button when I plugged it in, maybe that caused it? You're phone goes into downloader mode if you hold the down volume button while turning the phone on. Quite possible plugging the phone into charge simulated turning the phone on. Downloader mode is used to flash your phone for new software.
