I have read a few posts regarding how email alerts via mobile email have been delayed or do not come at all. Well I was having this problem along with another one and that was I could not access my yahoo account I kept getting error 20 message. I am not going into all the conversations I had with att about this but lets just say no one could give me the answer to correct my problem. I asked them at one point if it could have something to do with my network connection and it could be reset and they assured me that was not what was causing my problem. So I was reading a post about switching to edge from 3g to conserve battery so I decided to try it. After switching from edge back to 3g both my problems stopped. I could access my yahoo account again and my alerts became more timely again. So I am wondering if switching from edge to 3g and some how caused some kind of network reset? Anyways if anyone has the alert problem I would curious to know if this works for someone else. On dial pad dial *#63895# the screen will come up network mode automatic (3g)should be checked check the one below it gsm only (edge) select save and reboot you should no now see the edge icon now go back in and go back to automatic save reboot phone and the 3G will be back. Send yourself an email and see how fast you get an alert.

i wll have to try this. I also found it works better when mobile email is set to the original "medianet" connection instead of the "weather" one I created for accuweather... no more random alerts opening my games!
