What age are you talking about for a first phone?
To me, the text bug does not get too much in the way. I normally have to restart my phone once a day to every other day. Once in a while I will have to restart more than once a day, but it's really about if it annoys you. I try to turn my phone off when I go to bed so it gets some rest and it doesn't waste battery, but that's just how I deal with it ubtil it gets too annoying, then I'll try to call like goat always says.

I would think it would be an ok phone for you. It is relitively easy to figure out, and if you read the forum, you'll get it in no time. The only thing I would make sure to do is to defintly get insurance, a screen protector, and some forum of case. When I got my first phone, I was always dropping it and what not. Not that you will, but I would take that extra precaution, just in case Smiley

I agree with Orangiraff this is the best non-smartphone out there.  You will love this phone, with the tips, tweaks, and tips on the forum.  They make this phone even better than it is, if thats possable.. LOL
