Do you think that keeping your screen brighter will shorten its life?  I know nothing about the technology used in our screens.

I'm supposing that keeping the brightness up will also shorten battery life.  I wonder how much that's true.  I'd like to test it out, but the only way to really test it is to have two freshly charged phones continually displaying, and not being used for anything else.... and I need my phone for more important things Smiley

it would all depend on how much you use your phone and what you use it for but if you left two on all day constantly displaying the same thing the one with the brightness turned up would die first in my opinion

but the main question is what would be the difference in time on when the first one died to the second one. if the one whose backlight was up full blast died 5 min before the one with the backlight all the way down died then no it would not make a difference but if it died like a hour or two between the two phones then it would make a considerable difference.

I personaly have always wondered this. I tend to keep the brightness of my phones and gadgets midway b/c i always think it would allow the battery to last longer and still be able to read the screen.

If I had two impressions i would try this
