Screen was working replaced flex now not working

Ok so I got the phone for free from a friend and it worked sometimes. When you slid the top part down the screen would turn off. Then if you slid it up and turned it off and then back on it would work again. So I figured it was the flex ribbon because it was so touchy.

So i replaced the flex ribbon and now it doesn't do anything at all, i was thinking maybe I didn't push the flex ribbons in all the way, they were really delicate. Does anyone have a pic of what All of the flex ribbons look like pushed all the way in?
