Did you happen to spill anything onto the keyboard or get anything into it? You can always call att and see if they will send you a replacement phone if you are still under warrenty

The periods and the capital letters happen when you tap your spacebar twice. It is supposed to do that. Sounds like your fingers are just a little fidgety. And you didnt say which keypad....qwerty or virtual qwerty?  But I assume the virtual one.

You better get back to the eternity site giving lame responses like that. Im gonna have quig come over here and pull you back by your ears.

If it is the virtual qwerty it would not be a software it would be  hardware. And there is no way to clean the slider  keyboard without dismanteling the phone. Sounds like I said before you are getting too fidgety and too used to your keyboard  or its becoming over sensative.

well excuse me sir, I'm doing my best to help since I don't own a *Cough* Impression. I'm sorry I did Mean hardware, there is nothing soft about it. so the best thing to fo would be to call Att and get a replacement, enough persistence should do the job.

i thought it was just me! i got this phone last month && if you tap the space bar twice after a word, a period pops up. My "o"  button always sticks & the "t" tends not to wanna appear.

Sounds like you have a malfunctioning keyboard. with the 't' and 'o'. The double tap of the space bar is a normal shortcut for end of a sentence with a period and a capital letter to start the nexr sentence.

I'm not "figity" with my physical qwerty keyboard and it does the same thing. I've even sat there and typed with one finger only to see the touch of a key once repeat itself 2-3 times, or none at all, same with the space bar. I've never spilled anything on my phone. It's like the phone gets hung up while you're texting and starts lagging and doing that with the keys. I never thought it could be a physical problem with the phone, I always figured it had to do with lagging which is software. It's such a pain text with the physical keypad because backspacing takes FOREVER too!

I am having a similar issue...the whole top row of keys either repeats or wont type at all...I have had the phone for over a year...I have never spilled anything on it.....thanks for the space bar tip tho...I didnt realize that was a shortcut and it was driving me nuts cuz....i think the keyboard issue tho might be from over use???...cant imagine that tho...

i noticed it from "overuse" also. As the phone got older(around3-4 months?), it just didn't respond as well and I would start getting the sticky keys or no letters popping up. I changed out 4 impressions under the warranty. that was my only fix.
