Do not choose any of those options.  Wink

Not had any problems using TKFE once I found a USB port on another PC that loved the cable/driver without issues.  Maybe my laptop will love it too someday.  Wink  I have had no weird problems with it, nor disconnects, nor anything else.  It comes up fast as hell, and just plain works like a treat.  Thank you for the threads on this method.  I much prefer this to the idea of bricking routes.

I am pretty sure you just drag it to the folder and it will download automatically.

Make sure folder is open in below window before dragging or selecting download. Then all you have to do is right click and select download or drag to the window of the open folder.

I was hoping someone could help me, i have downloaded jadgen and tkfe. I have downloaded all the games I want and have dragged the jar files into jadgen, I have also gone into tkfe, connected my phone and created new game folders. The problem I am having now is:

1. I hear that jadgen converts jar to jad files but everyone's saying I need to unzip the jadgen and im not quite sure what that means and how to save both these jad and jar files.

2. when I scroll through the top screen in tkfe, I have no idea where to find these saved files to download onto my bottom screen.

Maybe im just confused because I am new at this, if someone wouldnt mind explaining in full detail what im missing or what i should do I would really appreciate it!!!

At first i forgot that i had nothing installed on my computer because i formatted my computer. So i plunged in my phone and it said cannot install new hardware. Then i realized i needed to install the program that's made for the impression with the drivers. So i downloaded it and installed it. Some reason my phone wont connect making it impossible to put games and apps Embarrassed. I was putting the phone in the right USB mode and still nothing. Then i uninstalled and reinstalled and still nothing. Can someone please help me.

1. To unzip, you left click on JADgen and click 'extract to JADgen/"

2. I am pretty sure you have to save the games onto the C drive.

If this doesn't help, try reading this thread  Grin

I think you might be a little confused. There is no reason to unzip jad files. That is what you need with jar files to install.

Top screen is just like using your windows explorer. If you have issues navigating files on your computer then just save them on the root of the c: drive and they should be easy to find.

This is the part i cannot figure out, the online directions are telling me that in each game folder that I have already created in tkfe I need to put the .jar and .jad files in. To my understanding these are to completely seperate files and that I must use the jar to create the jad, as of now for example in my tetris game folder I have tetris.jar, I need the tetris .jad as well right? I have all the jars on one screen in the jadgen. I dont know if jadgen has automatically created these jads by me just putting the jars on the screen or if I have to do something to create these jads. The last person told me to extract these files and save them to C; disk but I have no idea how to go about extracting them and creating a jad because I cant find an option anywhere that lets me do something like that. Below this is the only part of the directions you posted that I am a little confused on. I hope you can help me! thanks.

"Now you will need to place the .jar & .jad files of the program you will be installing in that folder. On the top half of TKFileExplorer, browse  to where you saved the jar and jad files and download them to the folder you created.

Install as many games and apps you want.

Each jar and jad combination needs its own folder. EX: Tetris.jad and Tetris.jar go in Tetris folder"

also if it is just as simple as double clicking on the jar file while in jadgen, it comes up with a message that says "fatal exception occured, program will exit" or also " Failed to load main-class attribute from C:\users\jim\documents\jadgen[1]\mobilenotepad_full_screen.jar

If this is whats wrong than I have a whole other set of problems to deal with, i dont know if the computer wont open it just because I only have the jar or if i need to use something other than jadgen.

I appologize but i am extremely new to this kind of thing and every detail will help!

On your pc drag the jar file onto the jadgen icon. A new jad file will be made and you will find it inside the same folder as the jar file.

It should unless samsung or ATT blocks it. But it should work on java phones. Not sure on their new bada OS phones.
