You're going to have to be more specific User1.  The process DOES work, so there's more probably a PEBCAK error.  Delete the folder off the phone and start again.  Make sure you do every step just as listed.

If you can get the TKFE method to work at least once, get BlueFTP also found here on the site installed and then use that method to install you're games and apps.

well this is what i did. i went to mobile9.com and i downloaded a jar file. from there i dragged it to the jaden. and i went into the jadgen and i clicked the only item in there and it said to extract files and i put yes so it extracted and then jadgen came up again so i dragged the jar to the jadgen and it made a jad file. then i connected to tkfe and then i connected my phone. from there i went to exe java and then games on the bottom screen. then i made a new folder. when finished i opened it and then went to the top screen and located my jar file which became a jad. i dragged the jad file to the folder and then i disconnected of tkfe. and did the dialpad thing and updated what im supposed to and then i went to menu, games & apps and nothing is there but just the original games. what am i doin wrong

are you puttin the jar and jad file into the folder??  you need both files.  take a look at these screenshots they should look something like this. This first screenshot i downloaded tetris, therefore i need to make a tetris folder.  It should look something like this.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

The second screenshot is after i made the folder and loaded my jad and jar into it.  Look at the bottom window that is where yoour jad and jar go to.

When all jars and jads are in the folders then disconnect from TKFE

Open up your dial pad and enter the following, *#6984125*#.

Choose INTERNALS and enter the following, *#3818790*#.

Now scroll down and choose Storage Settings. Then update Java DB, followed by update apps database.

Now you are finished.

Go to Menu>Applications/Apps & Games. Your newly installed app should be visible!!!

As far as using the jadgen. Just drag the jar file icon onto the jadgen icon.  That is all you need to do. A jad file will be made in the same folder as the jar file.

I use JadMaker.  In the zip file you will see a exe file, doubleclick that and another smaller box will open.  Then take the jar file and just drag it into the JadMaker box and it will automatically make a jad file for you.

Look at the bottom of this post and you will see the JadMaker file to download.  If you have any questions just ask.  I will try to help as much as possible.

I'm not sure if it has been mentioned in this thread (seeing how there's 21 pages, and I have not read through them all), BUT

I kind have been having good luck (*knock on wood*) using this method (as per instructions) to download games.  I haven't been getting many "connection lost" errors, and this is basically how I download the files.

(I have windows XP btw).  When you go to select what game you want on your phone, I always download the .jad file first THEN the .jar file.  ALSO...I RIGHT CLICK on the file and click download.

It seems whenever I either download the .jar file first or even DRAG the file to the correct folder on the phone, I get "communication lost" error.   I guess for those who have some difficulties, you can try using this method to see if it works.  It's worth a shot.

Did anybody else have any problems installing some of these games/files?  A BUNCH of odd contacts were installed on my phone, as well as reminders (on my calender), and text messages were sent.  (not sure if it went through...I think some did and some didn't).  I'm probably gonna call up my carrier and check my account.  But seems to me there was a virus in one of those files.

I installed:
Tetris,
Zuma,
Transformers:Revenge of the fallen,
VRadio
Call of Duty
Cops
iShoot
Fast and Furious
Guitar Hero 5
Ms Pacman
Need for Speed
Midnight Pool 2
Shazam

So ive tried that and the jadmaker is a program not a folder and my computer keeps saying "not a win32 program" or something, is there another one thats successful at the making of a .jad? thanks
