That almost didn't work for me.  I had changed my browser profile and it wouldn't let me download.  I couldn't figure out how to change it back but I finally did it and downloaded the file.

Reboot PC. Make sure PC-studio is turned off when it boots back up. Reboot your phone. Plug your phone into the usb. Start up TKFE. Select the comport it gives you. Try and connect again. If you get disconnect error then reboot while your phone is still connected with cable and then try and connect again.

I always keep my usb cable plugged in to the same usb port.

There is 1 more but it is way more complicated than TKFE. Keep trying and rebooting. Maybe change to a usb port on the back of the computer. Try different methods of starting TKFE then plugging your phone in. Once you get it the first time it seems to always connect easily after that.

I thought you said it wasnt working? What final combination did it? Now just wait till you start getting diosconnect errors while downloading from computer to TKFE. You will learn to love that program.

ughh.. such a love hate relationship here.. love it for allowing us to do what we do.. hate it because it's not stable and/or flexible whatsoever. i even thought i could speed up the process by accessing my phone normally through the os, drag all my folders with jads/jars in to the other files folder.. then going over to tkfe to transfer them easily from 'other files' to games and save on the communication error steps and time since they'd already be transferred to the phone.. of course tkfe only supports upload/download and won't allow you to move files amongst places on the phone.. the mid transfer connection errors are just simply awful..
