The only possible way I could think of would be to delete it in the locked folder and reinstall in the games folder. I would copy the whole folder to the PC using TKFE. Then delete it using the method for deleting locked apps. Then install it by using the new TKFE method. Just put the folder in the games folder with the jar and jad in it then update the databases.

It will then be installed and wont be locked. I am not sure where your settings are stored but I would bet in the filesystem folder. You would have to look as I have not used that app.  After its installed you can copy that folder back to the app. You should even be able to copy the appdb folder back also after it is installed. Then you should lose nothing.

Then if you got disconnect errors you could be there for an hour.

I seem to only have disconnect errors when I have a bunch of other crap running in the background while messing with tkfe... When I shut everything down, reboot my phone and reconnect, I have 0 problems.

i disabled my wifi dongle and it seemed to "help"... but you definitely can't seem to use other apps while things are transferring.. so i just keep everything closed out..

I tried this.

Original:

Mobile web
Gmail
Google maps

Wanted:

Gmail
Mobile web
Google maps

Named them:

Google Maps
Mobile Web
Gmail

Result:

Google Maps (Icon missing)
Gmail
Mobile Web

I tried renaming them two more times, the last time being back to how they started, but then they reordered ever stranger, and the google maps icon is TOTALLY GONE.  I deleted the apps and re-downloaded them and re-havked them, but what did I do wrong?

Did you rename them using your phone or TKFE? You were supposed to use your phone.

You did something before by replacing the icon file for googlemaps...did you not? If you did thats where your trouble lies.  That was done improperly.

I'm pretty sure I did it right.  I renamed the icon the same as the old one, deleted the old one, and then downloaded the new one.  That still does not explain why it didn't reorder properly.  What did I do wrong?

Not sure about order. The icon might have affected this. As it has wored for anybody else and nobody played with their icons. When an application installs it pulls the icon file from the jar file. Since you only replaced the 1 made, the phone didnt recognize it as the original icon. That is why you only got the java symbol.

The correct way to replace the icon would be to open the jar and change it in there and then install.

If you take those 3 apps and fix the icons ahead of time and then install, you should have no issue switching order then.
