Hi,

I just tried to unlock my AT&T Samsung Impression A877.

After I input the unlock code, I got a message of "Network Lock Deactivated".

However, As soon as I put on T-Mobile SIM Card, it asked me to input "SIM PASSWORD: "

I'm 100% sure that the cellphone is not asking about my SIM Card PIN, because I've tried to type it, and it was rejected.

I don't know what "SIM PASSWORD" means.

I think the code is attached to phone itself not to the SIM CARD.

I would really appreciate any help.

Thank you

By default the sim password for the samsung phone is 1111. But be Careful you only get three tries and the the phone will require a puk code that is  given out by att and since you are using tmobile i am not sure how you would get that code if needed.

I am assuming you just got the phone so no personal info is on it yet so you could also try a factory reset which should set the pin password back to the default 1111. Doing this will clear everything off the phone and will not effect the unlock that you have already performed.

Thank you for your help.

There is no personal information so I am okay with factory reset.

How do I perform the factory reset for Samsung A877 Impression?

Thank you.

Open the dial pad and dial *2767*3855# the phone will reboot and see if that corrects the problem.

1. call ATT and lie saying you re going overseas and need the code.
2. google it and get ripped off by paying some guy selling the code online...
