My mobile email stopped allowing to access my account today I got error message 20. So I call att and after of speaking to customer service they get a tech on the line he tells me that att is now  charging $5 a month for email weather it is 2.0 or 3.0 and the reason why i got the error was because i have a block on any charges to my bill otherwise it would have just added the new fee to my account. Has anyone else experienced this ? So he tells you might as well upgrade to 3.0. So it seems they are forcing 3.0 anyways.

they better not be.  They get enough of my money.  I see the next app to be deleted from my phone.  It is not even that great a program.  I am off to see my account now and verify...

I called few days ago with the error message 40, and I've been told to replace the phone.

This morning I got the error 20 again when trying to log in to my yahoo account so I created a hotmail account and added to mobile email 2.0 and signed in without issue so idk whats going on. I have deleated my yahoo and tried to add it and know cant get past verification. might be something with yahoo. I can still access through my web browsers. Guess I will give it some time and see if it clears up.
update:
Called att again and was informed that yahoo is requiring you to have mobile email 3.0 to access your account and receive push email. No others are doing this at this time. This supposedly went into effect on september 17th.

I have a bellsouth email address, which was taken over by ATT.  when I set up my mobile email, neither bellsouth or ATT worked so I had to do it through the yahoo settings. That was 2 months ago. So far have not had issues.  Once one starts, the rest will be soon to follow.

I have the yahoo account as well.  Besides seeing the error message 40 for about half a day, it works just fine.  I did not have any problems retrieving my emails today.

okay so I still can't access my yahoo account through email 2.0 is any one having this problem? Well if you
are the FYI I can give you is do not delete the account
because as long as your email notification's activated you
will still get the alerts even though you can't retrieve
them from mobile email 2.0. I just added a link in my
fav. folder and when I get the alert i just hit exit and
open through my browser.

@yahoo.com and @att.net are both functioning on my phone. The @att.net is a yahoo address also.

I have tried it on both my impression and my solstice and can't connect so I Know it's not the phone. I use the same sim card for both. I even tried on my wifes lg using her sim card and same happened. Do think it is something with my network connection? Can I ask att to reset it.

Update
I created a whole new account from scratch with yahoo and used @ymail and I can access it.
So not sure what is wrong with my other account still can access through phone web browser just not the email 2.0.

I have lost all faith in att customer service because they just gave me the run around about needing to upgrade.

of course, they want the money- any paid app MUST be better than the free one, right?

Are you saying you get the notifications through your event widget but when you hit the "view" button it does not open mobile email? Are your emails there when you open the program yourself?  I ask because there are times that I get the notification and the event widget does not open the program, but when I manually do it, all my emails are available.  Then there are the times I do not even get the notifications, but have emails waiting for me...This seems to be a random thing, but since flashing last week, it works fine.

I can not get into my origional yahoo account via even widget or direct through app. both are same result error (20) but i still get  notified via widget. I think it is something with that original account because I can access my new one that I made last nite and i can access my hotmail also. It is just strange that it is just that one account that i have problems with.
