Best Headphone Adapter

I'm looking for a headphone adapter, but they all have terrible reviews.

Anyone have a suggestion?

I bought one like that from Amazon except the wire is straight, no 90 degree turn. Working fine for an hour or so and then  it started to cut out on one side. Then everything sounded like a bad live recording. Had my co-worker plug his headphones in it and his sounded the same way. If I unplug the adapter the music sounds fine through the speaker.

Are the 90 degree turn ones better? Never bought an accessory like this before.

We got 2 "Audio Adapter For Samsung Impression a877, Solstice a887" from Cell Phone Shop:

They lasted about three months, and then lost sound on one side.

I'll let you know if/when they die.  I ordered them before I found this topic, and looking at what people had, it does seem to me that the ones with the cable going sideways would be sturdier, so that's what I'll go to if these die.

The audio adapters I received from Cellular Factory actually did have the 90 degree turn when we got them.  They've both worked fine since we got them, but I lost mine and I am now going order another 2 or 3...

Btw, my daughter is very rough on things & so she put a drop of super glue on each side seam of the case (that makes the bend), so it would be less likely to pull open the way her first audio adapter did.  Success for 6 months...

Jan 14, 2011 Update:  Works well & is sturdy
My daughter has used her adapter A LOT and it is still working fine.  However, I lost mine .
I replaced my lost audio adapter, and while looking for it at Cellular Factory, also found one that has no cable:

It's only $4.49, and is great. (My daughter claimed it & uses the "key chain" to fasten it to the phone.)

Also, the USPS tracking of that order goofed up (although it was delivered just fine), and a couple weeks after I  received the order I got an email from Cellular Factory to make sure the order was delivered OK!!  First time I've ever had a store check up to make sure every thing's OK when I haven't been complaining about anything.

I'm buying there again!!  (Only problem is their search interface sucks - be patient in weeding through results.  Prices and service are worth the effort.)
