I got the case pictured below, and wanted to give everyone my "Impression" of it...  Cheesy
Yep had to go there

I like this case about 90% of the time. It looks great, fits the phone perfectly, and it came with a screen protector, which was nice. For $10 and free shipping, I say I got a heck of a deal.

Drawbacks...

If you wear makeup, which I do, and you try to clean the face of the phone, there's about a 98% chance that you're going to wedge some of that crap between the phone and the case. If you want to really clean it, you have to take the front cover off. That's not hard to do, but a little hassle-ish. Also, if you want to get into the battery/SIM area, once again, you have to take the case off. Each time you do that, you run the risk of breaking one of the tabs that is securing it to the phone.

Texting... The top row is a little bit harder to actually use now, because this case is about 1 mm thick. Now, that may not seem like a big number, but when you're talking about cell phones, it really is. If you have short stubby hands/fingers, and "required" this phone over the xenon because of the keyboard size... you just ruined it with that 1mm. But really, after about a week of having on the phone, I actually got used to the 1mm intrusion, and now texting is just fine.

So, in conclusion... the case is still great. I got a hoo-ha of a deal. My phone still looks awesome, and now it has some pink plaid flavor.

I will probably want some different flavor in a month, and when the time comes, yep, I'll buy another hard shell in a new color/design.

Very nice review. How does the case do with opening the slider?

Works just fine opening, though closing it is another story... It catches on the lip of the Samsung. The back of the front slider part, where the protective plastic is (unless you removed it)? Has a liitle bit of a lip, indentation, I don't know what to call it. When you slide the phone closed, it gets to that edge and stops about... 1mm from closing. Woo! Another 1mm! When you "snap" it closed, it works fine, but if you go slowly, it catches and you have to "align" them.

I just got my blue rubberized hard case yesterday. (below)
It's a great case overall.. and I would give it a 4.5 out of 5.
I noticed the case is a tad hard to take off and after a while you keep it on, dust collects under it. I bought a screen protector with it from eForcity. It was a great screen protector and it was simple to put on.

See, that's why I didn't want to buy the rubberized case. Every phone I have had the rubberized one on, the dust/dirt gets up between the case and the phone, and then the phone ends up all scratched up, meaning I HAVE to have some kind of cover on my phone from that point on. I've never had any problems with the hard cases doing that. Weird, huh?

i also have 2 differnt types of hard cover cases one is black the other clear i dont use them for 2 reasons

1. Dirt gets under them and with the clear one it is VERY annoying b/c im the type of person who likes to keep their gadgets as new looking as possible as long as possible

2. Added bulk to the phone and since i keep my phone in my pocket it gets very annoying

plus with the cases it made it harder to text b/c it made it hard for my fingers to reach the top part of the keyboard

I ordered a hot pink rubberized hard cover, and i find that it doesn't effect the sliding function at all (which i was a little worried about, after hearing that one of the cases causes a little bit of stop unless you snapped it shut).
But i love it. I am a very clean person and so a couple weeks later after taking the cover off, there wasn't too much dust underneath. I was amazed. So it's doing it's job.
I also have a clear screen protector on it too though.

I guess i'm more of a person who usually doesn't like the added bulk to the phone, but for some reason this time around the Blue was bothering me and had to get rid of the blue color (usually my phones are black) and so yep, hot pink it is. lol.
But i love the texture of the rubberized hard case. It's soft, kind of has that silicon feel to it and it's still a hard case.
I have ordered a silicon one too, to see which i like better, but i don't think i'm going to beat this rubberized hard case. I ADORE it. I was actually quite amazed at the quality for only 5.00 & free shipping. lol.

Just a note to everyone. I purchased a hard snap-on case from eforcity on amazon and have a huge warning for everyone:

Be aware of snap cases that "snag." Mine eventually quit snagging, then I took it off to clean under the case and noticed that my sliding mechanism of my phone is wobbly/loose!!!

I keep my phone out of the hard case, but damage has already been done. (Fortunately I was still under my 30 days and signed up for an insurance plan.) Either way, a hard case that breaks your phone is no protection at all!!! Stay away from any that snag!!!

"Snag"Huh "Snags"Huh "Snagging"Huh

You mean the tabs hang/scrapes when you slide the keyboard open, or the way it clips onto the phone??

Please explain

Eagle, sorry for the confusion...

Yes, the tabs from the back portion of the case would scrape/catch/snag when I would slide the keyboard closed. As I said, after a few weeks, the case stopped catching/snagging on the phone (but now the sliding mechanism has a bit of slop/wobbliness to it when the case is not on.) I would never recommend a case that causes such wear to hardware of a phone.

Please note this product is sold by many retailers, such as eforcity, bargaincell, etc.

You may take a look at it here:

Yep, remember the snag I was telling everyone about earlier? Well, mine never quit, but I only had my hard case on for two weeks. I took it off to try the "stickers" (vinyl skins) I posted another review about, and my phone now has a slight wobble to it, too. Not major, mind you, but not something I adore either. Luckily, I took mine off within two weeks, but there's always that chance that someone else is going to have the same issue and not realize til its too late.
