I work part time for a designated driver service. I would LOVE to be able to operate my Impression (using a wired headset) and also Google Maps while wearing it on my wrist so I can check the map but always keep my hands on the wheel and eyes on the road. has anyone come across a case/mount/holder like this yet for the Samsung Impression?

Wearing a headset safe for driving? Looking at your phone on your wrist while trying to turn the wheel? Especially if you are a desiganated driver. Wouldnt a nice windshield mount adapter and a single bluetooth earbud be much safer?

I hate bluetooth headsets and in our service, we drive people home in their cars. Too much mounting & removing the phone around. Need to be as quick as possible but also safe. rather wear it and glance at it for reference. A wired headset hasn't let me down yet.

And sorry for the typo on the topic. I sometimes get ahead of myself when I type.

Using their car does make a difference. I dont think I ever saw a wrist strap specific to our phone. But I believe you should be able to adapt an iphone version.

So I guess when you say wired headset you mean for music and not for calls? There have been a few adapters discussed in this section. If just for music make sure you get 1 that has 3.5mm plug.

The headset I need I already got. It will plug into the phone, run up my sleeve, come out through the nect in my jacket and plug into my ear. Too many laws about using a mobile device without a hands free device out there. This way I am still able to keep my eyes on the road and use google maps, or talk on the phone if I get a call about bad traffic, another run, etc...

Bluetooth and I are not good friends.......lol
