First of all I do not work for, or am I in anyway affiliated with eForCity.  I found this site and ordered two covers for my Impression. One cover is a rubberized plastic cover and the other a silicone cover.  The URL to these two products are below.

http://eforcity.com/clip-on-rubber-coated-case-for-samsung-impression-a877-black-csama877coc2.html
http://eforcity.com/silicone-skin-case-for-samsung-impression-a877-black-csama877sc01.html

I tried both covers and decided on the rubberized plastic cover.  It snaps in place and the keyboard can still be used and all buttons pushed.  I like it very much, especially for $5.49 +Shipping.

I also tried the silicone case.  I wasn't sure how it would work with the slider phone. On the top and the bottom of the cover is a very small tongue and groove device that slides as you open the phone.  It fit very nicely but I had a hard time pressing the unlock button. This case was $4.99 +Shipping

I bought a car charger for my daughters Eternity for $3.99 and a set of 3 screen protectors for $3.99.  All products work, shipping was very reasonable and prompt.

I bought a black rubberized cover, maybe I'll buy another color or two also. Grin Grin

Thanks for all the info JP!!!

I too ordered a silicon case for mine before I even got my phone in the mail. I had used one a while back on a Motorola ROKR E1 and it was awesome. My phone almost stuck to the dashboard even while driving like a Formula 1 driver. I wasn't so impressed (no pun intended) with the silicone case for the impression though. The one thing I really didn't like was how you have to removed the case to plug in the charger. Very annoying!!!

I now use a clear screen protector and some vinyl stickers from www.3acp.com. I ordered them off of ebay, 3 for 9.99 plus 2 dollars shipping. Keeps the phone as slim as being naked and protects the plastic from getting scratched if the phone slides across a surface for example.

I think in the future I might also order one of these rubberized cases you are speaking of. The only concern I have is how it might make the phone to thick and bulky. What are your feelings about that factor?

I have a horizontal case I wear on my belt to hold my impression.  I was concerned too, but even with the cover on the phone fit in my case.  It is a little tighter but not restrictive at all.  I'm happy with it and the price was right. Grin

Hmmm... I'm also looking for a silicone/gel case that takes care off the charger problem where there is a cutout for the charger (or doesn't block that area). Like cooper mentioned, the many silicone cases ("generics," if you will) listed on eBay seem to have the charger portion covered. It would be so much of a hassle to take the case off everyday just to charge it. I would probably take off my silicone case every two weeks or so to clean it, but not every time I need to charge my phone. Anyone know of any such cases that takes care of this?

now that i think about it i might use an exacto knife to cut out a spot so the charger will still fit. i'll let you know how it works out.

By the way, cooper. How is your silicone/gel case doing, aside from the cutout for the charger issue? I'm looking for a good decent quality silicone case for my Impression that is tight and fits comfortably to it. The silicone cases I had in the past for various cell phones were extremely loose. Even my wife's Solstice's case is loose. Does the one you have have a good tightness to it? I find that loose cases often times will get even looser as usage and daily wear continues...which is not too good. I'm also worried about dust/lint getting UNDERNEATH the case because of the looseness or just the natural nature of silicone attracting these particles. Could you comment on how your case is doing? Is it loose or does it have a lot of particles underneath or on the surface of it?

Cooper, how happy are you with the vinyl stickers?  I might grab some of these myself - all the true cases seem too bulky for an already large phone.

I'm kind of confused by their eBay auction, did you get 3 sets of the same design?  or 1 each of 3 different designs?

Also, have you tried to remove it?  If so, does it mark up the phone upon removal?

TIA!

i really like the skins! you get one of each of three differentt designs. they are easy to install. i am assuming you are female with the name tia so they will probably last a little longer for you if you put your phone in a purse. after sliding your phone in and out of your pocket you will notice the corners sometimes start to peel back. for me i get about 2 to 3 months of use. for the money, the look, the protection, and the super slim fit i think its well worth it.

when you remove it there will be a little bit of tacky residue on your phone. just roll it off with your finger, dry. then i got a napkin and some rubbing alcohol and it was just like new in about 5 minutes.
