That's why I usually go with BestSkinsEver.com.  They always seem to have a very precise fit.

Great! Wish I had seen this BEFORE placing my order. Anyone else tried an Invisible Shield on their Impression yet?

I actually agree with what Mancosman said. The front piece is designed as one piece to cover the entire front part of the phone. Since the impression has the space between the screen and the surrounding plastic, it is practically impossible to get the front piece to fit without having noticeable air bubbles along the edges.

This really sucks because they back part was easy to get on and it looked nice, but the front part is the most important area to protect.

This shouldn't be an issue if you just got the screen protector, but if you got the entire body cover...good luck.

I saw the skins on ebay. There is only a day left in the auction but I imagine he will relist. 3 skins for $10 and he gives you the wallpaper to match. He must have at least 100 to chose from.

Alright you guys convinced me to cancel my Invisible Shield order. They charged my credit card 5 days ago but my order still showed "In Process"...

I can't stand air bubbles, and someone on another thread mentioned that the Invisible Shield application process ended up activating the moisture dot inside the phone which voids the warranty. No thanks!

Anyone know if BestSkinsEver will end up having more choices after a period of time? I'm not a big skulls kind of guy and that seems to be their general theme.

I agree.  I bought 2 full sets.  Only used the one and won't be using the other one.  I'll just eat it I guess.

I noticed that the screen-only cover is available as of recently.

Does anyone have a clue as to if it would activate the moisture-sensing whatchamacallit?

Just wanted to post an update that I bought 3 InvisibleShields full body for 3 Impressions that I just got.  The first one did not look good because I had no idea what I was doing as I did it.  But, I put the second one on my wife's phone and it looks great.  No air bubbles around the edge of the touchscreen, smooth invisible edges around the corners - very nice.  Mine still looks like sh!t, but hers looks great!

I am considering pulling mine off and putting on a new one.  I did not install the little 1/8" strip that goes along the bottom edge of the phone - seemed like a lot of work for very little payback.

I think this is a very good product, but if you have never installed one before, your first attempt will probably not come out well.

Another note - when I added 3 full-body shields to my cart, I automatically got a 30% discount - no coupon needed!  Don't know if this is a standing deal or if I just got lucky.

Here's what I did for my Impression and my wife's Eternity:
Sam's Club sells Maxell Mini-DV tape 8-packs. Each package of eight tapes comes in a plastic shell inserted in cardboard. The plastic cover is thick, smooth, and clear. I merely cut the shape of the Impression screen (place a piece of paper over the phone and use a pencil to draw around the edge of the screen, creating a stencil) out of a section of it. Since I've the hard shell cover for the Impression, this flat piece of plastic fits under it and is held in place by the hard shell top. No glue, tacks, duct tape or industrial-strength epoxy necessary.

For My wife's Eternity (with a faux-leather case), I cut a second piece from the same plastic, but I was careful to include portions of the curved edges of the plastic on two sides, to be used as stabilizers under the leather case. I had to punch a hole for the light sensor and speaker, so it was a bit more work.

I created templates for both phones and have plenty of extra plastic for future replacements.

A lot of merchandise packaging uses this thicker gauge of plastic, so a bit of experimentation may be called for (unless you happen to use mini-DV tape too).

The thicker plastic still allows the touch screens to work, properly, but prevents more abuse than the thinner skins. And when it gets scratched beyond acceptable, I just pull it out & put in another. Free.

One caveat: Once you've cut the cover out, wash it and BLOW IT DRY--don't touch it with finger, cloth nor paper towel. Then clean your touch screen (don't wash that), and try your best to make sure no dust particles are present when you lay the cover on top. Although dust is only an annoyance at best, any skin oil you leave on either surface will cause a blemish where the surfaces make contact.

So, look around your house for flat plastic packaging that could be used.

Keep Smiling
