just bought the phone and i love it, looking for micro sd card (8g) but not sure if its a normal square design or that odd shaped tiny one. I saw a few on amazon but the prices didnt seem to jive with the boxstores. I know amazon is cheaper, but a few were headscratchers... Any help would be much appreciated! thnx

Ebay is probably your best bet. Just search "8gb micro sd". Any brand should work fine, and some of the pics will display a small card and others will display a big one, and some will even show both, that is because they come with the adapter which allows you to also use it with other electronics like cameras.

I wonder, does this card work with our phone? http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Flash-memory-Class-microSDHC/dp/B001F7AJKI

Also, what is the purpose of an SD card adapter?

Thanks very much.

this is a fine card as it is a micro sd card (think the size of your pinky nail), which is  what our phones use.  the the nice thing is that the sd card adapter is something that you put the microsd card into so that you can use it as a standard sd card. confused yet? Wink

another item to consider is the 'class' of card.  this is a similar classification as hdd speed; the higher the class, the faster the data can be accessed.  class2, which is what you are lookng at now, is on the slower side of the spectrum, but it will work just fine for pur phones.

sorry, more info than you wanted, but hope it helps.

ok, great advice on here for us beginners. i was looking on ebay for an sd card last night and found a refurb 4 gig for 10 bucks is this a pretty good deal? ive never bought one before for a phone. as far as i can tell i will be attempting to read and understand how to load music and maybe a couple games. for that would 2 gig be okay or is more better?

I have a 2 gig and I have 373 songs and about 100 pictures on it. It's a little over halfway full. Now, I don't have any games on it, I use TKFE, so idk how much space they will take up. I would suggest getting a 4 or 8 gig, though, just in case you get carried away with the games/apps... Roll Eyes
Also $10 for a referb doesn't sound like that great of a deal. Googeling it, it seems like most new cards are around $10-$15 for a 4 gig.  Cheesy

amazon is a fine palce to start.

i just bought 2 8GB cards at www.NEWEGG.com for about 12 bucks a pop. class 6 so speedy and plenty of room, especially if you ever consider loading and watching movies on the phone.
