Hi, I think I'm going to get an Impression.  I'm coming from a Palm Centro and have a Palm bluetooth keyboard (3245ww).  Anybody know if they would pair?  I know the keyboard also works with a Nokia e71.  Thanks!

You cannot pair the Impression with a Bluetooth keyboard.

Are you sure luie? Specs for bluetooth for the impression says it supports these profiles. A2DP, HSP, SDP, FTP, AVRC, OPP, DUN, BPP, HFP, SAP

Is the keyboard one of these?

Don't believe so.

I meant to say that you cannot pair with Bluetooth keyboard for built-in functions. Maybe for downloaded apps and games.

Just a question, why would one need a keyboard? Is it bigger or something?

IDK. Maybe for Internet and email. Or maybe games. But then again for Internet and email we have computers, and the games I don't get.

Hum. Idk, but then again, I have never tried one. It may be the most useful thing ever for all I know.

The keyboard is great for typing things longer than a quick text.  I'm a physical therapist for a school district and travel all day, and I don't want to lug around a laptop or buy a netbook.  I type faster on a standard keyboard than my phone, and it's a better position for your hands, long term.  Then I can sync my treatment notes, evaluations, meeting notes, etc., to my laptop back at the office rather than trying to remember or handwrite.  My brother paired it with his Nokia e71, so I'll post the result after I try it myself.  Thanks for all the input!

IDK why you would use the Impression for notes. The Impression only supports up to 100 characters on the memo tool, and on Notable only up to about 2000.

Aaah, good to know.  I was thinking I could write as much as a memory card would hold.  I'm still shopping around for a phone (looking for the smartest "non-smartphone" to avoid paying for an ATT data plan).  Is Notable the only word processing-type app for the Impression?

I agree, this would be ideal for the Impression if the proper app was written.

It has bluetooth

It has huge memory available

Why not offer a simple ASCII text app that works with a paired bluetooth keyboard. As it is, I am looking for a Netbook/small laptop to keep such notes in. But I hate lugging things around.

If anyone knows of something like this that works, please share.

The keybd works with the iPod touch 4 but not 3.  My Impression recognizes it but won't pair.  Has anyone tried it with Notable or another app?

I don't think it works.

But I might be wrong, so I'll go drag out the old Bluetooth keyboard (I mainly use keyboards that sync up with Logitech's Unify USB receiver now).
