Sorry if this has been answered previously but I couldnt find it in a search.  What version of PC Studio will allow us to backup our contacts?  I store my contacts on the Sim card and not on the phone.  I have IC8 and I can read my Sim contacts but it doesnt give the option to back them up.  Thanks

I would like to backup my contacts from my phone to my computer and I looked for the Solstice Version of PC Studio but was unable to find it. All I could find was the version of PC Studio that was for the Impression. Could you please post the link to it if you have it?

You go to samsung.com. Click on the mobile tab. Select mobile phones. Choose ATT mobile phones. Pick the solstice. Choose the download tab.

I have solstice pc-studio download links all over the forum. The issue is samsung changes their link often and then they become dead.

I had already gone to this and downloaded the software so I found it in the recycling bin, my computer recognized it as the same software that I have installed for my Impression so when I went to install it the option it gave me was to remove PC Studio what I did was I uninstalled the PC Studio for the Impression and installed this one for the Solstice and now I got my contacts backed up in my outlook folder Grin.

In other words thank you for assuring me that it was the software I needed to install I just wrote the explanation above just in case someone was having a problem similar to mine Tongue.

And for F.Y.I. You should always uninstall one version of pc-studios and uninstall all the samsung drivers then reboot your pc before installing the next version.

And if you already gone to this then why did you ask me where to get it? You said you had pc-studio 3.

Ok, I tried to do this again and figured out my problem.  Smiley

I keep my contacts on my sim card and not on the phone.  PC Studio (Solstice Version IH1) will only allow you to backup contacts that are stored within the memory of the phone itself and not the contacts that are stored on the Sim card.

So, to recap, if you want to back up your contacts they must reside on the phone itself.  I recently moved about 5-10 contacts onto the phone to allow for specific ringtones, pics, birthdays etc., and thats how I figured this out.

This actually makes sense. Your sim card only holds 200 contacts. So after that it is no good to use the sim for contact info.
