I used an early Blackberry for awhile prior to getting Impression. I recall that it was pretty easy to install regular java apps using jar/jad onto the BB. Just looked on Google out of curiosity, and sure 'nough, there's still lots of "How to do it..." pages about how to install java apps onto your BB.

Conversely...If it's that simple, is there some way to modify/install BB apps onto an Impression? Just in case you find one that you just can't find as a java app? (I couldn't find anything on this using Google, or in our Forum archives here.)

Would appreciate hearing about this if possible.

Cheers,

The java is different.  They can't be used as is and I have never heard of anyone converting them.  Sorry.
