could not locate a contact that is in the phone

Today, I was searching in my contacts for a particular number, K&S Tow. I couldnt find it anywhere. Luckily, I remembered part of the number and low and behold, it showed up.  I dont understand why I am unable to find it anywhere in my contacts.

I went to my called list and I tried to edit the number to space out the K & S to see if that made a dfference, but there was no option for that.

I save my contacts to the phone and back them up to the SIM card. I view from the phone.

Why the heck is there NOT a search in the contacts?? My sister has a $100 metro pcs samsung and it has a search function!! I don't understand.

If it is not in your contacts list, it may be in showing only your sim case and you put it in your phone or it's showing your phone and you put it in your Sim.
