Hey everyone, my Impression has been acting very wonky recently, I've attached some images. It's been shutting down randomly too.
The touch sensitivity is working fine, but after turning the phone on for a while, the image on the screen gets goofy. If you look closely at the image, it's even reversed!! I've also seen it with half the screen nothing but pink pixel 'snow' in various amounts. Just from what I'm reading here, I'm leaning toward the flex cable. Is this a good bet? If I go to work on it, should I actually replace the flex cable, or does it probably need re-set, like most laptop keyboard repair jobs.
Also, if I start digging into it, is there anything else that I should replace all at once to make sure this issue gets fixed? I'm also wondering if it's worth replacing the digitizer as well, since I've got a pretty annoying scratch smack in the middle of the screen, or if the digitizer isn't the actual screen. (Yeah, I like to verify, sorry.)
In the video sticky, the guy who replaces the flex cable mentions 'gold contacts' that he 'should' have replaced. What are they and should I care?
Finally, the keyboard on this thing is pretty frustrating too, it does ddouublee letters quite frequently, is there a hardware fix for that, or is it software?
