Is it worth it for the data package on the Impression? I've never had a connection to the web from a phone so I can't say if it would be worth it or not.

Is the impression suppose to detect when it is side ways?  If I go to my menu screen and I'm holding the phone landscape style it will not alter the menu unless I slide out the keyboard. This seems kinda awkward to me just because I alter how I read so much.

Aside from that.. all over the screen  I don't normally notice it unless the screen is blank/I'm in sunlight but, the color of the screen seems very distorted.. an almost blue "haze" seems to cover the screen. It looks like condensation.. the edges are a weird exception however, the places where it is not covered are actually the easiest to see outside when the sun is bright.. ANy idea what that is? or if its possible to fix?

I have the data plan right now, and I'm thinking of getting rid of it. It is very useful when you are out and about all the time. For example, you need to find movie times. But I'm in college which means my life consists of work and homework basically, so using the regular computer is much easier for my needs. So it depends on you, personally.

No, I'm sorry, the accelerometer only works in internet and photos (I think??)

And...yeah...a tech will help you with that last question  Grin

funny. I was considering getting it because I'm in college XD.

Honestly.. having access to email 24/7 would by no means hurt. I do have an n810 with wifi.. however, I use it as a media player and between classes turning it off and on isn't a good idea if I have 15 minutes between to classes.

I really want a backflip for that kinda stuff.. I really don't want a 30$ data package.

Yeah, it is good for when you are bored and if you use email a lot. I don't use my email much though. I use it more to alleviate boredom  Grin So yeah, if you use it, it's defiantly worth it. Web browsing is pretty easy (unless you try to use youtube, that's a pain)
I'm sure it would be easier with another web browser, but I can't figure out how to get it on the phone (I am in no way shape or form a tech person and it's amazing I figured out how to put games on my phone)
Cheers!  Cheesy

On the Data plan, the other nice thing is that you can tether your laptop through the phone. Forget looking for a hotspot!  It is very nice.

Don't they charge extra for tethering?

I don't know if the impression can handle it but, my schools bus system actually pulls up where teh busses are online for smart phones... It may be any phone that can load the page with internet..

Data is data, browse the forums a while and you will find discussions about how much data  you can use before AT&T starts complaining. There are quite a few on here that have tethered their laptops for years.

Just go to the "How to" and look for the forum on setting up your phone to do this. If you  ever set up a "dial up" connection you will find this to be simple.

I like the data on the impression. Especially knowing I can download graphics from google for free. I really do enjoy it.
