Sorry if I just really dense and missing the obvious, but I can't seem to find a way to send files directly to the mem card via bluetooth.

I have 2 samsung impressions, exact same model. I want to send a 600mb movie file from my mem card to the mem card on the other phone. Since the file is too big for the phone's internal memory, it cannot transfer.

I looked all over for a setting, even tried BlueFTP but it does not seem to have that option either.

I belive you must set you memory card to discoverible. aka, go to settings, memory managment, memory card details, bluetooth visiblity on. After that, you should be able to send it to the memory card I THINK.  Grin

Make sure both phones are paired and visible.  Go to the video and select 'more' and then 'send by bluetooth'. It will take you to the bluetooth screen to select the phone to send to. As soon as you select the phone it starts to send.

Thanks but neither of those work.

1. the phones both have the mem cards set to ON for bluetooth

2. when I send, it just says transfer failed, while the destination phone says "Memory Full, delete some files".

There's no option to send directly to the mem card, it keeps trying to send to the phone memory.

Please help.

Coulden't you just connect the phone to your computer and transfer it from there?

Sure, the phone could be connected to the computer directly for the file transfer.

But, the computer with the file on it is at work. My wife will have to go without her phone for a day for me to transfer the file.

Plus, if I want to share large files with anyone else via bluetooth, I am limited to the size of phone memory.

I was hoping there would be a simple solution to just simply transfer the file via bluetooth.

Don't believe I've seen a way to do this via bluetooth, as there's no way to select where the file goes when you go to 'download' it, other than if you're directly connected to the PC.

Simple Solution:

1) Put the file on your phone... in phone memory. Phone has somewhere around 660 MB available with no apps, pictures etc on it, so a 600 meg file shouldn't be out of the question.

2) Take the card from your wife's phone, and put it in your phone.

3) Move the file from your phone to your wife's card.

Alternatively, you can put your card, in your wife's phone, and save it to her phone's memory. To me... that's even simpler than bluetooth :-D

I dont know where you get your info but the phone has around 200mb of internal memory.

A possible solution for you is to take your wife's memory card out of her phone. Take it to work with you. Put it in your phone and copy the file to your phone.  Then she only has to go without a memory card and not her phone.

Or you could bring the file home with you on your phone an transfer it on your home computer.

Thanks for the suggestions. Sometimes I get so wrapped up in doing the 'techy' thing I miss the simple path.

I'd still prefer the ability to bluetooth directly to a mem card, but this will get be by for now.  =)

Cheers

Bleh, for some reason, I read KB as MB when looking at what I have available.

In any case, solution is the same... :-D

Lets try this Download BT file manager Install with TFKE Method and then connect to other phone and move the files where ever you please. There should be no problems... Remember Move is Move and Copy is Copy       Good luck
