Anyone have a problem with their Impression where the internet connection cycles endlessly? It seems to be happening after I run GCal. I have the version that's available on this site and it's goatbroken. The app works fine, but once in a while, the internet connection just starts cycling endlessly even when I try to use Media Net or any other app. I found the only way to fix it and get it back to normal is to take out the battery and reboot it that way - turning it on and off doesn't do it.

Mine has been doing this a lot lately too. It never used to have any problems at all. I can't use any browser or any app that connects to the data network.

WooHoo!!!!!  Thanks Isketch. See I keep trying to tell everyone the issue is not with your phone but with ATT servers. But rarely does anyone listen. This is eaxtly what they did to my phone 6 months ago when I kept losing internet connection.

Goat, I quoted you from another message thread because I finally figured out why my phone cycles endlessly. It has to do with the ATT network and what you mentioned above. It was also mentioned in another post regarding not being able to connect because of DNS whereby another Samsung phone was having the same problems?

I tested this yesterday morning when I lost internet/data. I tried to access apps with my wife's impression and same thing - cycles endlessly. Regarding your post above, has the problem with your local ATT network been corrected or do you still lose internet/data? If so, what did you do to get them to fix it?

ATT reset your phone's connection? How did they do it - from their end or walk you thru a reset on your phone?

ATT did it on their side. Just like they did to isketch. They make you pull your battery and while your phone is off they reset your connection and when you turn your phone back on everything is hopefully fixxed. It was for me. I have mentioned this now close to a dozen times to get members to do. Isketch seems to be the first and I am waiting on his evaluation in another topic.

Goat, here's the update...I called AT&T and the first lady I got really didn't do much except tell me that the nearest cell site by my house is deteriorating and set up a "call back" the next day to see if I was still having problems with my internet/data connection. The next day the same thing happened - it was still cycling endlessly so I made another call to AT&T (someone from AT&T did call me back from that "call back", but I missed the call). This time I got a man and after explaining the problem to him, he ran diagnostics and checked my connection and status from his side to make sure everything seemed to be working ok, which it was. I then mentioned to him about having the connection reset because of what you mentioned and he went ahead and did it...so far, after 2 days - NO PROBLEMS...woohoo!!! (He did mention that resetting the connection was a "last resort" thing that they do. He called it "re-registering" the device. All he had me do was power the phone off, no battery pulling though)

f8lspd, that is awesome to here.  I really wonder what the real deal is on this behind the scenes. But you are the 3rd person this "re-registering" has hopefully worked for.

Do you hear this people? Dont complain about stuck texts till you try this.

f8lspd, please post this in the text bug thread if you havent already. Thanks
