lost phone, please help

there might be some things. try these

call the phone and look for it
send it a message and look for it
leave a message and look for it

all these things might produce different tones and make the phone where its easy to find.

I also had a friend who had another phone and used verizon but if you call it so many times over and over it will make the phone restart automatically and you can listen for that tone.

which company is it?

there may also be able to use gps to locate it.

if you think someone is playing a trick or hiding it for fun, just send a message they will find offensive or tell them you are tracking the phone and they will give it to you very soon.
