I have an unlocked AT&T Samsung impression and i can not log onto Aim or MSN. it keep saying connection failed. My service provider is tmobile. I checked the settings for IMS and everything seem to be fine.

IMS is for video messaging. The stock IM messenger uses sms as its network profile. Not completely sure that will work with T-mobile at all.

If you can't get that working and you have a data plan then you can use a third party messaging app like Palringo for AIM.

I dont have internet on my phone, even if i try to access the internet and it does not work. will palringo still work on my samsung impression?

Yeah Palringo requires data usage so if you dont have a data plan then dont use it.

The built in IM client most likely won't work with another provider because its specifically designed to use ATT's network profiles and gateways. Your best shot is to get data and use a third party client... but if you can't get internet to work, your out of luck. TMobile won't supprt the phone because it's not a branded TMobile phone... ATT won't support it because it's unlocked and not on their network.

And no... if your phone cannot access data, any third party IM clients won't work.
