Last April I installed New PC Studio (version version 1.1.1 IC8) on my Windows XP PC for my new Impression. When I transferred photos from my PC to the phone the file size was anywhere from 160 KB to 300 KB.

I recently installed New PC Studio version 1.5.1.10064_2 on 2 PCs, one with Windows XP and the other Windows 7. When I transfer photos from either PC to my Impression, the photo file sizes are 4 - 6 MB instead of 160-300 KB, even when I choose the option to "Convert file to the correct format...".

I reinstalled the original version on my XP PC and that is working fine. When I installed it on the Windows 7 PC the application freezes.

When I called customer Service they were unable to help. I also communicated with them by email and that too proved fruitless.

The reason why NPS 1.5 works on your windows 7 is because it has the correct drivers and the drivers in 1.1 never gave me much success with my windows 7 PC. As far as the file size I do not use NPS to transfer pics and audio to my phone I find much easier to set my phone to mass storage and drag and drop them in and out of phone. Maybe some one else knows a solution.

NPS 1.5 does not work on my windows 7. I get the same large file sizes on both XP and Windows 7 PCs. NPS 1.1 works only on XP.

I have no problems with version 1.5 on my windows 7, but I have not used it with pictures.

If I understand what you are saying the problem is that version 1.5 is increasing the size of your pictures to between 4-6 mb?  I will have to try this when I get home tonight and see what mine does.  I need to ask a obvious question, however...  Roll Eyes has the setting for picture size on your phone been recently changed?
