Orientation and color issue...

I am working on an impression and the digitizer was bad, so I swapped it out for a new one. Put it back together and it seemed fine until I opened it sideways. When I did this the screen changed colors to a green and pink color and then locked up the phone where none of the buttons worked.

I took it apart just to make sure I did not pinch a cable or something, all looked good so I put it back together. Now when it turns on it goes directly to landscape mode. When I slide the keyboard out it again turns colors.

After reading here, it seems like it may be the flex cable from the lcd to the mainboard. Am I on the right path thinking this? I ordered one, and I hope it fixes the problem, has anyone else seen this before?

Well i installed the new flex cable and my screen does not change color, but the phone is still in landscape mode and no buttons work. I can touch the screen and it works, but again only in landscape mode.

*update

I was able to get a used phone from a friend, and I started switching parts to test. Seems to be the keypad cable/board. I switched them from phone to phone and it worked like a charm and the new mainboard on the old keypad had the issues.

Hopefullyhelps somebody not spend overnight shipping for a flex cable like myself, all to find a different issue.
