I've had the Impression for about 2 months and everything has been great except for the physical keyboard. I often have the problem of the phone not receiving any input when pressing keys (finally getting it to work after two or three punches), and other times it will receive a single keystroke as a double stroke. This problem is multiplied when trying to type quickly. I've never come across this issue with the touchscreen keyboard. Has anyone found a solution to this problem?

The delay is only with silent mode off, although it's hardly a problem.

I have the problem whether or not it's on silent mode, and it basically makes the keyboard unusable if typing something more than a few words long. But if there is no fix, I guess the touchscreen will have to do for now.

Mine does the same thing.
Only thing, I didn't notice the multiple characters per key strike until I had been using the phone for at least 2 months.
I like txting with the keypad but find myself using the touchpad because I hate for everybody to think I can't spell that bad!!!!!!!!!!
WIsh there was a fix.
Thanks

My little fix for the double letters is to press on the keys a little harder than you normally would.

Since you've only had it for about 2 months i would take it to an AT&T device support center. Just make sure any mods you have done are reversed and that you say that the keyboard does. Thats how i got my 3rd one. Lol

With silent mode off mine would do that too. Now it does it all the time. It started after sending a very long (like 9/15 pages) message. Once it got over 4 or 5 pages long the keyboard delay was horrible and has never been right since.

I've had mine for 9 months and it started the delays, double letters AND adds a period at random times about 6 months in. It's unavoidable at this point. No matter what the settings are. It really really annoys me and I have begun to use the screen keyboard. But since I am still in my first year of the phone with AT&T it is covered for replacement. I am almost at that point.
At&t replaced my old Ericcson 4 times during the first year at no charge to me. I never paid for a warranty. It's just the manufacturer one that comes with all AT&T phones.
