Screen is dead.

Hi, so I searched a little bit but I'm just wondering, I've had my samsung impression for a while, and out of no where, the screen started acting up on my phone. Of course, the day the warranty ended...haha.  Anyways, I'm wondering if I can use the TK File explorer to get some pictures and files and games off of it that weren't on my memory card? The only way I could is if i don't need the phone screen...the phone still goes on, the buttons and all get lit up but the screen doesn't go on anymore. Please if I could get help that would be muchly appreciated Thanks!

I had it set to choose when connected...so am I screwed?

I got a different phone (it was already my third impression.. ), so I'm not really worried about that... I was just wondering if there's any possible way i can get the things off the phone memory.
