Samsung Impression - Touch Screen Does not work

I've had 3 impressions within the last year. This has happened to me a few times already. What you have to do it on your keypad type - *2767*3855#. This will completely factory reset your phone. When it turns back on the recalibration screen will come up. It WILL NOT allow you to click on the target, just click anywhere on the screen until the calibration is finished. For some reason this works and you will be able to click on Menu again. I recommend you going to settings after this and recalibrating it again just in case. Your phone should be working now.

BTW when you get your next phone DO NOT get a touch screen Samsung or LG. Every since one has defects. You're better off just paying a little more and getting a blackberry of something.

hello, I am very new to this and am experiencing the same screen problems. Cant tap anywhere on my screen and it is really frustrating. I've tried the code provided(*2767*3855#) to no avail. after the phone performed a full reset i was brought back to the calibration screen of which I cant pass because i cant tap any part of the screen. pls help, this is my only phone and i have no means of communicating. Thanks

You may need to replace the digitizer. Use the search box and there is a post with a video on how to do it. The part can be purchased on ebay.

In my situation, the touchscreen is responsive, just way out of calibration. As a result, I can't touch the "menu" icon. Is there a way to enter the menu using the buttons on the phone?
