Hello everyone, I recently installed the google maps with gps but I keep getting the blue screen and it won't let me type anything no matter how many times I tap the screen. I used both methods to install it two different times but I still get that blue screen that won't let me type anything. I've tried looking at the other posts but I haven't found anything so far. Any ideas on what I can do to fox this? thanks.

are you tapping in the blue screen then which will bring up the keyboards?

Yes, I even tried rebooting my phone and restarting the app but no luck at all. I also keep getting a message that says "low memory" and when I try to look up the traffic the traffic colors load, and then it disappears. I had it before on my phone, but I decided to re-install it hoping that "low memory" message would go away but no luck.

Sounds like you have other issues with your phone.  How much memory do you have left?

I didnt even have that much free memory on my phone when it was new.  Did you get this value by going menu/settings/memory management/used space/shared memory?

Also are you running any applications in the background like Instant Messengers or maybe a gif wallpaper?

well I took out the apps that you had to subscribe for and only kept the yellow pages and mobile email because that's all I use. I always cancel any other programs i was using before I opened the gps just so that it doesn't slow down. The only images I have are like 5 pictures that I took on my phone and the ones that came with it. For the background i use the ones that came with the phone.

Is the jwc_properties.ini file still in the java folder? Do you have any issues using the touchscreen to type in yellowpages or mobile email?  How about the 3rd party browsers?  Is googlemaps the only application that causes you issues?

the file you mentioned is still in the java folder. Was I supposed to delete it? i haven't had any problems with mobile email or the 3rd party browsers, but I don't use them anymore. I just tried the yellow pages app and it's giving me the same problem as well but it just doesn't say "low memory" I just can't type anything in and yellow pages has never given me a problem in the past either.

You did something to your phone somewhere. Just not sure what. Maybe you should back your stuff up and do a master reset.

I tried that too, still no luck Undecided. I honestly wish I knew what I did wrong, all I did was delete my locked apps, and only worked on the games folder. You think I should go to at&t and get a new one? I pay for the monthly warranty.

You still have a 1 year samsung warranty that should cover it. Yes i would do exactly that.

What would be better go through samsung or through at&t? Is there even a difference? Am I going to get a refurbished one or a brand new one? Sorry for all the questions lol
