Yes. Just use the Mass Storage USB mode on your phone.

Then just plug your phone into your computer and you are set.

Why did you not bother to search?

Actually, I did searxh SD card. Back to topic, can the SD card be read by a PC out of the phone?

You need an MicroSD adapter for your computer.

If you have a MicroSD to SD adapter, then you need a SD adapter.

Then plug in the adapter to your computer. After plugging in the adapter, go to My Computer, and you should see something called Removable Disk.

Thanks. When I did that, it says the disk is not formatted, so you want to format? Obviously, I hit Cancel. I know there is a bunch of photos on the card. Thoughts?

Copy the photos to the phone's memory, then format using computer.

What size is the card? Computers usually running xp and possibly vista have card readers that do not read sd-hc and will only read sd. I believe that is 4GB and above.

Can it be read using the phone and a usb cable in mass storage mode?

I haven't tried that yet.  It's my wife's phone.  Is it easy to put it in mass media mode?  I used a card adapter that came with my reader.

Yes it is easy. 

On phone go to menu/settings/connectivity/select usb mode   and then put a tick in mass storage.  Back out to the main screen.  Plug your phone into your pc. It may or may not install drivers on its own. Then on pc select the start button and choose 'computer' or 'my computer' depending on what operating system you have. Your phone's storage card will be seen as a removeable hard drive.  Most likely the highest letter drive will be it.
