The only thing u can do is call ATT and have them tell u the info or reset the pin for u...i learnt this the hard way, cuz i put a pin on my first phone "Nokia 3300 =)" and forgot it, and kept trying over and over again, and it fried my SIM Card...so the only way to do this is to call ATT "u might wanna have ur friend with u when u call incase they wanna give u a hard time."  But thats really ur only option if u cant remember the pin at all.

I doubt it...the only way to my knowledge is to call ATT or try random numbers (which WILL mess up ur SIM and phone.)

Why dont your friend put his sim back in it and keep trying till he needs the puk code. Then he can get his puk code from att. Its amazing how many friends give friends an expensive phone and dont know the unlock code. Hmmmm.

Well if you dont have the code there is nothing you can do. After so many failed attempts a puk code will be needed. Not sure if yours will work. If it doesnt search the web. Im sure someone can do it for a small fee.

Dude just call them, and give them the IMEI number and the number on ur Sim card (u have to do so anyways so they can update ur info, they might even give u warranty.)  I know only ATT can do it, or maybe u can do what Goat said and pay some1.  just tell them it was a gift from a friend "if it were me i would say my cousin"...as long as the phone wasnt reported lost or stolen u should be fine.

Yea its most definitely stolen "thats in my opinion at least"...funny thing is i have a friends who had a brother arrested yesterday morning because he was stealing cell phones.  He awoke with the cops flashing lights in every1s face, and handcuffing them...once the brother was confirmed they took him in, and said they found him because of the GPS inside the phone...now the real question is "WHY DO PPL STEAL CELL PHONES?"  Companies practically give them away just so they can get u to buy the service...THE SERVICE IS WHAT ACTUALLY COSTS MONEY PPL...and once u steal some1s phone they will actually just cut it off.  Do u really wanna have cops barging inside of ur house cuz u were too cheap to pay a few bucks for a cell, or cant wait a few months for an upgrade. *SIGH*

longjon This post is from sept of 2009 and at that time we did not have the software for the phone so flashing was not an option at that time.

Also you are a little new to be throwing off attitude to some of our Sr. members aren't you?
