Now that I've gotten the internal gps to work with Mgmaps, there is still the problem of uploading the cache.
I quickly gathered some maps for storage to use with mgmaps, and found out that TKFE can't even handle a few files, each being a few KB, without disconnecting. I can't imagine how I'd be able to get a memory intensive amount through TK without losing my sanity.

Can we expect growth in the TK software, or perhaps a replacement?
 Huh
Can the maps be transfered to a memory card through PC Studio-or another device and used by MGmaps?

Garrr...
Thanks

For some reason I have better chances if i close a few running programs on my pc. I had trouble when I made the full screen version of mgmaps just writing it back to the phone. But when I closed some running programs and my spyware protection it went smoothly. I think it might have something to do with the phone also  like backlight on, dimming and going off that sometimes throws your connection. All I know the less happening on both devices increases your chances. Must be an unstable connection. How is your adding maps going? Did you check out http://www.mgmaps.com/ for some info?

Yeah, it definitely sounds like an unstable connection to me. I found better luck waiting 10 seconds or so between uploading each folder.

Storing the maps and loading them on the phone was a PITA partially because I didn't know the directory.
Turns out that you have to upload the cache folder into one of the 'media' folders and then direct it there.
Ultimately, it all works great-GPS mixed with stored maps and the 'offline' setting.

I still need my MicroSD card to come in the mail so I can upload a few levels of my city via googlemaps...and of course see if it's the same process with the card.

If you need help with any of that, give me a PM...or just leave it on this thread.
