I got a scratch on my screen today =( and it sucks cuz my screen protector has been shipped and is on its way to me...but anyways is there anyway to get rid of that scratch.

I went to http://www.onlyimpression.com/ and i saw they sell a Displex LCD Scratch Remover...but when i went to the actual website it said not to use on touch screen phones...so would the scratch remover work, or is there something else i can use?

I did a lil research and i found some1 that has an omnia and they used the Displex and removed their scratch "because the top of our screen is just a plastic cover with the touch stuff under it" so it will work for our phones, but not for the iphone or g1.

I just ordered the product from http://www.talkietech.com/dilcdscre.html its just $8.90 there with shipping so i'll let you guys know how it works out...if all else fails and i mess my screen up, i can contact warranty and make up some fake problems with my phone and get a new one =) lol

This is an exert from the forum i found...

"DISPLEX

Hi All,

Displex is fine to use on the omnia, i contacted Vertriabs (the makers) and the omnia is fine because the touch sensitive bit is under the screen. Whereas on the iphone its on the surface hence the iphone can do multitouch. If you want full explanation you'll have to look up yourself, but trust me you can use it.

However, I have used it, no poblems to my screen at all or touch response, but it only gets rid of extremely small hairline scratchs. It is good, dont get me wrong, but if like me you have a scratch which you can see a lot and is probably why you are looking for scratch removers, then i dont reccommend this product.

My honest suggestion would be to use ebay to gget a new fascia. They cost inbetween £15-£25 NEW. Check description of item because some people ar eselling refurbed. Then as soon as you have it and put it on, literally takes about 5-6 mins, usually tools provided, the stick on a martin fields scren protector or and decent screen protector. I like martin fields so im biased, but you may have youre own preference.

So, Basically, Samll scratch - Displex"

If u scratch your screen DO NOT USE DISPLEX...it does not work at all...so if u scratched your screen just live with it...ill put my screen protector away (that came 2 days too late   Cry )just incase something happens to my current phone, i'll have it for a new one...but i repeat Displex does not work, i heard something about brasso (something u can get from just about any supermarket,) if u guys try it and it works let me know...but i have given up on trying to find a cure, because when i put the displex on my screen, the screen felt funny, my fingers didnt glide over it like it usually does, so i had to literally scrub the thing off my screen, until it feels normal now (felt like it had a new layer of plastic over the screen, and where that feeling was the feedback for my touch was horrible.)  God what a waste of 10 bucks lol, i should of used it for rush delivery on my screen protector "IRONY."
