Go to your phones menu.
>Settings> Application Settings> Browser> Browser Profiles.

You'll have to create a new Profile. Click the "Create" button on the bottom. Once there do the following procedures.

Set name: (Whatever you'd like)
Access Name: wap.cingular
Auth Type: none
Protocol: HTTP
Home URL: (http://whatever you'd like)
Proxy Address: wireless.cingular.com:80

Save it. And then set it.

device.home is the default homepage. To change it follow the steps above. Does that answer your question?

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I still get the media net home.  I create a new browser profile. Followd all the step above. under home URL I put in m.google.com, save everything and set my google profile and when I open up the internet it will take me back to the media home page.

That happens to me too, but when I use the widget. I dont know why. However, when I use the shortcut key or the app in the menu it takes me to my custom homepage.

This is a real bummer.  To have to go through the menu just to open the browser in my homepage... meh.  I'd rather just open device.com and hit the home button.  Even still...

H... I'm scouring everything I can find in TKFile.  There is a bookmark.xml, but changing it seems to do nothing.  I'm looking to see if I can find a definition's file (or something like that) for the widget buttons.  Any ideas?

Er, let me take a stab at a kinder way of responding  Tongue  As an aside, if you use more proper nouns instead "it" for everything, this would help us know where you're going wrong in trying to apply this How-To.  Let us know more precisely what you're doing and what sort of error messages (or other feedback) you are getting.

When you say "it won't let me set it", what do the "it"s stand for and what happens that you can change settings?    Just a guess, are you trying to change an uneditable profile that come with the phone?  You have to create a new one.

When you say "it keeps coming up with nothing", what keeps coming up with nothing?  The browser? The profile editor?  Again, you have to create a new profile and then select that one.

thank you jyg for your inputs.  I have a habit of not clarifying my words when i type.  I have it all worked out correctly in my head until i start typing.  I will make sure to be more concise with my problems next time.  Again thanks.

On another note:  I did get the button to select my newly created home page.  I had to reboot and it let me select it. Agoattamer, i did read everything, the phone just wouldn't let me select until i reboot.  Either way it worked.  Thanks.
