So you bricked your phone looking around in the Internals? This is the guide for you.

UPDATE:
You need the PC Studio drivers for this to work. If you have TKFE working (if TKFE sees the phone) and/or you use PC Studio, you probably already have the drivers.
UPDATE 2:
Here is the link for Samsung PC Studio: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads/SGH-A877RBAATT

Click on Software, it is right next to Manuals. You'll see it if you scroll down. After downloading and installing, make sure the PC Studio application is closed (like the entire process is exited), and MultiLoader will work.

EDIT: Ok, so for people that were too lazy to just scroll down and read what I said below:

You need to download Multiloader: http://www.samsung-impression.org/general-samsung-impression-discussion/maybe-this-is-the-firmware/?action=dlattach;attach=4952

Here's the link to the firmware: http://www.mediafire.com/?eayrlkykaeny8js

Guide for full firmware flash:

Quote
1. Put your bricked phone in bootloader mode by holding down the red power button and the down volume button at the same time until the screen pops up.
2. Open up Multiloader v5.5 and under the "control" box, select "MSM6275/MSM6280/MSM6290"
3. Plug your USB Data cable into your phone and into your computer (at this point port numbers should show up at the very bottom and the Download button should be highlighted)
4. Leave the boxes labeled, " Boot Change, Full Download, Master Rom and Differences Only," unchecked.
5. Click on the "Amss" button and locate the amss_compressed_base.bin folder and then click open.
6. Click the "Rsrc1" button and locate the Rsrc_A877_ATT.rc1 file and then open.
7. Click the "Rsrc2" button and locate the Rsrc2_A877(Low).rc2 file and then open.
8. Click the "Factory FS" button and locate the FactoryFs_A877_ATT.ffs file and then open it.
9. Click Download and the phone will then be reflashed. ( don't disconnect the cable until it tells you it is completed.)

You should also click on the button that says boot and locate the BOOTFILES folder.

The instructions are modified to fit the Impression, but besides changing names of files in the tutorial, it was originally from Eternity forum, written by marcustremonti.

END OF EDIT

I will be posting up a guide on how to change boot screen, charging screen (you know when your phone is off and you plug it in and you see the battery logo?), and some other stuff.

Just so you guys know, the boot screen things credit go to Plaguethenet on the Eternity forum. He made the software to edit the .rc2 file which has the boot screen images in it.

I will also be posting how to edit .ffs, which is the filesystem of the phone.

UPDATE:
Partial firmware flash is a go! From the Eternity forum (once again, modified for our awesome phone):

Things you will need:
1. USB Cable
2. Your "thought to be" useless phone!
3. Impression Firmware
4. Multiloader v5.5

Steps:
1. Put your bricked phone in bootloader mode by holding down the red power button and the down volume button at the same time until the screen pops up.
2. Open up Multiloader v5.5 and under the "control" box, select "MSM6275/MSM6280/MSM6290"
3. Plug your USB Data cable into your phone and into your computer (at this point port numbers should show up at the very bottom and the Download button should be highlighted, if not, do a "Port Search.")
4. DON'T check any of the boxes above that say, Boot Change, Full Download, etc.... Boot and Apps should be the only tabs not highlighted below.
8. Click Download and the phone will then be reflashed. ( don't disconnect the cable until it tells you it is completed and the phone restarts.)

I removed the link to the Eternity forum's partial firmware flash thread until I test it myself to see if it actually works. It should work, but I want to be sure.

For anyone that really wants to do the partial firmware flash, then go to the Eternity forum and search for it.

If you DO do the partial firmware flash then post back and tell if it works for you.

Have you found the firmware files for A877UCID3?

I have tried searching everywhere for the firmware files and all I got was some files that seemed to be correct but had a weird file extension (.CRZ). Can you please tell me where I can get this firmware? My phones been messing up lately on some weird stuff.

Thanks!

If partial flash on the Impression is successful, people could start updating from A877UCIB7 to A877UCID3.   Cheesy
