You want to disable NPS. Just disable the phone check thing or something like that.
You can uninstall NPS if you want to and keep the drivers.

Never pay for the firmware. It will come out eventually, like it did for the Impression.

I never tried flashing a phone so I don't know much about it but was wondering if it would be possible to flash my solstice with the impression firmware ? Probably not I am sure but I really like the black theme on my impression over the white on my solstice. I tried to pick up were funk left off changing the nv_default but came up with the same problem as he did white letters on white key board. I have searched everywhere for the key board color scheme to no avail. Starting to think it is hidden in the file system like lock pics. But when the firmware comes out for the solstice if we could find the file maybe we could change before flashing. Just a thought.

I haven't found out how to change the color schemes yet. Probably same method for Solstice when I find out.
Like what Goat has said before: it is not possible to flash a phone with another phone's firmware. Sorry.

Well the keyboard color scheme is not in the nv_default because took the one from my impression and over wrote the one on my solstice with no changes to it and still had the white on white keyboard so it is somewhere else. Come on luie find it for me.

I installed Windows XP on my computer last weekend, so I will have time to dig around this weekend I think.
Don't worry. By the time your firmware gets out either you will have upgraded or I will have found how to change the schemes. Then we can actually call them "themes"!
